Description: Powercon Corporation is looking for a hard-working, energetic person to be responsible for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of medium voltage switchgear and associated components. Job requires both electrical and mechanical aptitude. Good supervisory and customer relation skills required. Tasks range from working with a Crane and Rigging Contractor to set large modular electrical enclosures (bolting assemblies together, re-wiring portions removed for shipping, and testing) to troubleshooting circuits, circuit breakers (electro-mechanical devices), and protection and control devices (microprocessor relays, PLCs, automatic voltage transfer schemes, and generator control schemes). Job also includes significant travel opportunities. Requirements include the ability to lift 50lbs. Description: Work with experienced Field Service Technician supporting installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of Medium Voltage Metal-clad Switchgear and associated equipment. Position requires both electrical and mechanical aptitude. The ability to read technical literature and drawings is a must. The assistant must have the ability to use common hand tools and simple electrical test equipment. Job also includes significant travel opportunities. Requirements include the ability to lift 50lbs.
